New phone family delivers significant cosmetic upgrades, new guest-friendly features

Los Angeles , CA, June 21, 2005 --- Teledex announced today at the 2005 HITEC show in Los Angeles its new iPhone hospitality telephones. The initial release of the iPhone family, the iPhone A series, features a complete cosmetic redesign, resulting in stylish form factors that mesh well with today’s hotel guest room. The new A series also delivers several new guest-friendly features that are important in improving guest satisfaction and customer retention.

New Look, New Features
The iPhone A series debuts a completely revamped industrial design that is a perfect complement to Teledex’s existing product lines. Graceful, sculpted curves accent a comfortable, familiar user interface. Modern tech-inspired lines surround what’s inside: the industry’s most reliable, feature-rich telephone. The iPhone A series includes all the familiar Teledex-introduced features that have made Teledex the standard. Additionally, the A series debuts three important new features:

CourtesyRing™ – When selected, CourtesyRing initially rings the phone at a very soft level. Each subsequent ring increases in level until, by the fourth ring, ring volume is at the highest level. Thus, guests are not needlessly jarred from their sleep by a loud ringing telephone. CourtesyRing™ allows the guest to set the iPhone to get their attention gently.

EasyTouch™ – Voice mail retrieval is easier than ever, with a large, illuminated message waiting indicator, that is also a programmable speed dial, that rings right into the hotel’s voice mail system. With one easy touch, guests can access their voice mail, saving time and frustration.

Sonica™ Hearing Aid Enhanced – The iPhone A series also features Teledex-developed Sonica™ technology, that greatly improves the ability for the hearing impaired to understand words while using the phone. Sonica technology enhances both the volume output and clarity of the handset receiver, when used with compatible hearing aids. Coupled with the standard ADA-compliant volume controls, iPhone with Sonica delivers a much-improved experience for the hearing impaired.

ExpressNet-Ready
The new iPhone A series accepts the growing family of Teledex ExpressNet® high-speed Internet products. The award-winning ExpressNet® AirLink™ solution family allows hotels of all types and sizes to leverage their existing telephone infrastructures and technologies to deliver leading-edge connectivity to guest rooms and common areas.
